Two brand new tugs for our fleet!

MED MARINE AND SVS MARITIME SIGNED CONTRACT FOR 2 MED-A2575 SERIES TUG

MED MARINE and SVS Maritime owned by Vernicos Scafi, Spanopoulos Group & Lyboussakis Salvage, signed a contract for the construction and delivery of 2 MED-A2575 series tug. The RAmparts 2500W series tug is scheduled to be delivered to her owner in Greece in September 2024 and Q1 2025 respectively.

The MED-A2575 series tug, measuring 25 meters in length and boasting a 75-ton bollard pull capacity, is equipped to meet Class FIFI-1 requirements. This powerful RAmparts 2500W series tug is constructed as a multi-purpose tug, working off a forward winch for ship handling, towing, pushing, mooring, firefighting facilities and also equipped with an aft towing hook and a capstan.

L.O.F. M/V ATLANTA Grounding

Successful Refloating for MEDTUGS!

Vessel M/V “ATLANTA” loaded with some 10,000MT of NP Fertilizer in bulk, grounded in the northwest sea area of Rhodes island on 29th of April 2023. Fore peak tank, bow thruster and freshwater tank were breach and flooded.

After L.O.F. signed, site securing, holding, and re-floating services were offered to M/V ‘’Atlanta’’ by our consortium tugs ‘’Vernicos Sifnos’’, “Lyboussakis Minoas’’ and ‘’Vernicos Scafi II’’.

Casualty safely re-floated despite limited tugs movement and operability due to surrounding rocky coastline.

Επίσκεψη φοιτητών του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών

Την Παρασκευή 15 Δεκεμβρίου, στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος "Οργάνωση-Διοίκηση Λιμένων" πραγματοποιήθηκε εκπαιδευτική επίσκεψη φοιτητών/τριών του Τμήματος Διαχείρισης Λιμένων και Ναυτιλίας , στο χώρο ελλιμενισμού των ρυμουλκών στο λιμένα Πειραιά. Τους φοιτητές υποδέχθηκε από την εταιρείας μας Lyboussakis Salvage & Towage ο Ιωάννης Λυμπουσάκης και τους ενημέρωσε για το ρόλο των ρυμουλκών στην εύρυθμη λειτουργία ενός λιμένα καθώς και για τους πολλαπλούς ρόλους που μπορούν να αναλάβουν. Οι φοιτητές ξεναγήθηκαν στους χώρους του ρυμουλκού, τους έγινε επίδειξη του εξοπλισμού τους καθώς και των ικανοτήτων ελιγμών που διαθέτουν.
