Kostas Lyboussakis

Konstantinos I. Lybousakis was born and raised in the area of Perama. From an early age he was involved in tugs and since 1976 he has worked as a sailor and partner in the Karapiperis Tug Company. He later studied Mechanical Engineering at AEN Aspropyrgos and obtained the diploma of Captain. In 1986 he bought his first tug and started operating independently. Since then, it has created a dynamic company that is constantly evolving with 9 tugs in operation. Since 2019, he is also the President of the Panhellenic Association of Shipowners of Ships & Lifeboats "Agios Nikolaos".
Dimitris Lyboussakis
Co-Owner & Co-Founder
Dimitris I. Lybousakis, is a graduate of AEN Aspropyrgos and together with his brother created the company "LYBOUSSAKIS SALVAGE & TOWAGE". In his first steps in the company (1987) he worked as a tug captain and later took over the technical department of the Company (spare parts, shipbuilding repairs, etc.). In the last decade, it has also taken over the crew management
Antonis Vatistas
Commercial Director
Antonis Vatistas studied at the Department of History and Philosophy of the National of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, from where he graduated in 2005. He has postgraduate studies in Political Science and Public Administration (Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2010), an MBA (Athens University of Economics and Business, 2014) and in Shipping (University of Piraeus, Department of Maritime Studies, 2018). He started working for the Company in 2012 as Director of Quality Control and then became Director of the Commercial department. He is currently an executive at MEDTUGS.
John Lyboussakis
Strategy & Marketing Manager
Giannis Lyboussakis, son of Konstantinos Lyboussakis, studied shipping at Plymouth University (Bachelor of Science in Shipping) and after graduating in 2017, he works permanently at the Company. He has served in a tug as a sailor for 1 year and has been certified DPA & CSO since 2017. Now, he has taken over the commercial management and promotion of the Company, while also contributing to its strategic development.
